Santa Fe. Your City. Your Future.
Our City - Issues - Our Future
Statistical studies show that 1 in 18 Santa Feans have been the victim of a crime.
Home burglary, auto burglary, theft, vandalism, mugging, gang violence – crimes committed on our streets and in our neighborhoods.
I'm a former police officer and magistrate judge and I know from experience that we can't stop crime completely.
But there are effective strategies for slowing down criminals.
A City That Works
We are proud of our City of Santa Fe and we should be.
Clean mountain air, deep history, world-class art, unique architecture – so many qualities that have made this city famous.
But there's a secret Santa Fe, a city very few know about but your life, your health, your safety depend on it.
It's a city that does what a city is supposed to do – quietly, without headlines, without fanfare. It provides us with the basics of life.
Santa Fe is blessed to have a reliable and diverse water supply.
Two large reservoirs capture snow melt runoff from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
City wells tap groundwater in Santa Fe and more wells draw water from the Buckman well field.
And we have a share of water from the San Juan Chama Project taken at the Buckman Direct Diversion point on the Rio Grande and piped into Santa Fe.
